Couples Therapy
Working with Couples
It is not unusual for couples to engage in therapy when feeling distressed and helpless, perhaps through loss of connection, sexual difficulties or specific incidences or ruptures.
In my practice I welcome same sex and heteronormative couples where the relationship is considered to be the client. I also work with separated and divorced couples where children may be involved.
I offer a non judgemental and compassionate space where collaboratively we identify how the interaction between you and your partner may be causing distress, disagreements or distance. From this new place of understanding we are then better able to establish what you really need from each other and ways in which this can be communicated. Understanding yourself and your partner better can allow you to find the courage to show up in the relationship more fully, relating to each other in more vulnerable and authentic ways.
